I have been watching the Software forums on 2+2 for the last 6 months. There is lots of development of the “Next-Gen” trackers. Poker tracker is coming out with PT3, as well as two new comers, Hold’em Manager and Poker EV.
All three seems similar in a lot of way, but there is still a huge debate as to which one is “better” or the best. They all are still very buggy or are not out of private beta (PokerEV) yet so it is difficult to see who is going to come out on top.
This is similar to the Tracker wars between Poker Tracker and Poker Office. Poker Tracker was the first and therefore stayed on top by most professional players.
If I had to buy one right now, I would probably get PT3 since it is kinda what I know (PT2 user) but I am really hoping that PEV will come out soon. PEV sounds like the best of the three, but the developer has postponed the beta about 10 times so who know when it will come out. PEV is a beta release at of next Friday, but I am not holding my breath.
I have not tried any of them out yet, but I will post a review once all three are out and I have some time to test them.
Oh, and I missed a post from 2-days ago about my journey. I played 742 hands and won $14.50.
